LGTM is an acronym that is popular in the software industry. It stands for “Looks Good To Me,” and means the product has been thoroughly inspected and meets with approval. At Google, a paradise of acronyms, LGTM is also used for approvals for writing and other communications; everyone involved in the project signs off on the work before it’s published.
LGTM means everyone’s happy, it’s good to go.
FWIW, Google execs were pretty surprised no Xoogler had created a company called LGTM before. AFAIK, they thought it was a nice way to commemorate my time there.
